CALL BOARD MEETING TO ORDER.
MOTION to Accept November 11, 2020 Board Meeting Minutes by Ebensperger/Spindler, motion carried.
PUBLIC WORKS: Chris reported that the maintenance to the water tower was completed. He reported that the invoice for the solenoid that John Deere had sent us is covered under the warranty, so they excused the bill, and we do not have to pay it. The grave digging for cremations was discussed as we do not have an auger/post hole digger to dig graves the board said if we can find a reasonable one, we should purchase one. The pumps at the lift station and the ponds were discussed as an inspection needed to be completed by the end of the year and we have someone coming out to complete that next week.
MOTION to Adopt the Newly Amended Flood Plain Zoning Ordinance by Baker/Ebensperger, motion carried.
DISCUSSION on making a skating rink in Saratoga, the board discussed building a rink due to kids not having a lot of outdoor activities and being inside so much because of COVID. They all felt it would be limited expense to the Village to try and see how much it will be used this year and agreed that we should have the rink in Saratoga as it was a better location, and it would possibly be used more because of the playground equipment and location.
MOTION to purchase some of the used billboard tarps for the base of the ice-skating rink by Ebensperger/Spindler, motion carried.
DISCUSSION on charges for the cemetery as tabled until next month as the board wanted to see what other cemeteries were charging.
MOTION to set Caucus Date for January 13, 2021 at 6:00pm by Ebensperger/Baker, motion carried
MOTION to go into Closed Session-roll call vote per Wis. State 19.85 (1)(g) to confer with legal counsel (either by phone or in person) who is rendering oral or written advise concerning strategy to be adopted by the board with respect to litigation in which it is involved with David Meixner.
MOTION to Return from Closed Session roll call vote.
ACTION FROM CLOSED SESSION: No action was needed; the board only discussed a letter from our attorney.
